I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
